🌈 the best way to wrap up Pride Month was with a BOOK FAIR! this year was the first chance for the public to attend, and i can’t wait to watch this scrappy little event continue to grow and thrive. i came home with a very full bag of books (many for free, and some i purchased from queer-owned bookstores), attended panels, enjoyed free snacks & drinks, and volunteered behind one of the tables and as an author escort. the big brands may have refused to back the fair financially, but the community stepped up. this was a major volunteer effort, and while of course i hope some things will be improved next year (especially around information & overall accessibility), i’m so proud of what was accomplished and the very small part i was able to play! 🏳️🌈 The Pride Book Fair (panels, signings, tastings, book shopping, and more!) 🗓️ date: this year’s event was Friday, June 26, 2026 📍location: The LGBT Community Center · 208 W 13th St, NYC 🎟️ tickets: stay tuned for 2027 information! they have a website and social media, so look there first for announcements and for 2027 author nominations. #pridebookfair #scholasticbookfair #lgbtqbooks #nycinfluencer #nycevents @pridebookfair @cosmos.kyle
