Happy spring! Thanks for a fabulous readathon last weekend – I’m so happy to have you all as part of our community.

(If you’re not in our Discord, you’ve GOT to hop in there! Make sure you sync it with your Bindery profile to get access to all the channels.)

Before we get into book club, I wanted to make sure you all saw our next scheduled readathon dates. These take place during the first weekend of the month, and they always include a weekday.

May: Saturday May 2nd - Monday May 4th
June: Friday June 5th - Sunday June 7th
July: Saturday July 4th - Monday July 6th

These are always very casual and you can pop in for any amount of time that works for you! I’ve been loving starting my reading month off with them (makes me feel SO much more productive).

But now … on to book club nominations!

One of your perks as a Bindery member is to nominate book club picks, and it’s that time. We pick our book clubs seasonally, and we’re going to choose books for summer now (June/July/August) so everyone has plenty of time to get their hands on these stories.

Celestial book club has a home on our Discord, and we read backlisted books (at least one year old) from marginalized authors with a focus on fantasy, science fiction, horror, speculative fiction, and magical realism. ✨

Thanks to everyone who gave theming suggestions in the Discord. :D I’m so excited to see what you nominate.
